Overview

The Shorai LFM21A6-BS12 is a 12v 315 CCA LiFePO4 Powersports battery. This Lithium Iron Phosphate features a lightweight design while producing a high CCA. The battery weighs only 2.91 pounds and offers an incredible 315 C.C.A. This battery is meant to replace the lead-acid battery and will require no change to your stock charging system.

The Shorai LFM series batteries feature the new Shorai Sentry BMS that prevents the batteries from being excessively discharged. The BMS monitors the battery voltage, and should it fall too low, the battery will disconnect the terminals to prevent excessive discharge that can damage the battery.

Shorai LFM batteries contain Shorai-proprietary eXtreme-Rate Lithium Iron prismatic cells (chemistry LiFePO4). They contain no poisonous lead or acid and do not create gases during charge, as traditional Lead-Acid batteries do. Compared to lead-acid batteries, lithium iron phosphate batteries are extremely light, have much lower self-discharge, do not sulfate, and are environmentally friendly.

Lead acid batteries have long been a target for riders who want to take weight off their motorcycle. With Shorai Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries, it is now possible to do away with the heavier lead acid battery while maintaining reliable starting power. These replacement batteries require no charging system modifications and only weigh a fraction of the OEM battery.
