I buy and build some really big monster engines, the last being a 165 hp evolution engine. The biggest battery I could find was a 310 cca battery and it could not even crank the engine. I bought this Shorai Lithium Motorcycle Battery and it cranks my engine over like it is nothing. Exactly what i wanted

Battery is a little small and you have to pack around it to make it sturdy and not move around. Needs to be made a little larger to fit tighter.

I hope these guys make good on this battery, for 315 bucks i def would like to see another one, and if that one melts down, it would be nice to get my money back.

Running a 117 S&S. The battery indead will crank the bike much faster once it starts turning. The charge time seems to be pretty short. The battery is very light.

Running a 177 S&S. It seems like it has a hard time getting the motor to turn over the first time. Like its just not dumping the juise fast enough. If its cold it gets much worse. I cranked my bike 4 times, maybe 2 second blasts 30 seconds apart, and this battery went on a major melt down. The battery terminals melted right out of the battery. The battery started to grow, I thought it was guna pop. Maybe I just got a bum one, but if there are all like this....Its back to the drawing bords boys..

I think this is a great battery and I hope it contiues to be. I will try to post on update in about 6 months.

I have an S&S 117 that i have done some performance work on and needed a higher CCA battery to turn the motor over now that it has a 10.5 to 1 compression. You do have to sort of wake the these batteries up and thats normal with these litium batteries. The first time you crank it you just want to wake the battery up and it probably won't start the bike, but that is normal. Once the battery is active it has no problem starting my bike

It says that it has a 1 year shelf life, but my bike sat for about 3 1/2 weeks and the first time I started it it was ok and i rode for for about 20 mins. The next morning I went to get on my bike and it started once, but barely and then choke kicked off and it died. Then when I went to resart it it wouldn't even turn it over. I hooked the charger and it said it had been over discharged which didn't make any sense to me as it has been barely used and I had just driven the day before.

A little pricey, but I don't mind paying for something that works this good. Hard to believe a battery could make such a difference. I don't worry about getting stranded with a weak battery now.

This battery starts my Harley with no problem. A huge plus for me, it can sit for a week or two or even three and still start it without hesitation. Used to always have problems starting if not fresh off the charger. Not anymore. I have not charged this battery yet. I've owned it for about two months and have no complaints.

I bought the battery for Triumph Rocket III Classic in MN. The riding season here is only about 6 months at best and that inclueds riding in colder weather.

In my opinion the OEM battery is under capacity for the engine in this bike ... it turns it over well only in warmer weather ... it always seems kind of sluggish turning over and it's very easy to drain it to the point that it won't crank. The stock battery had issues with holding a starting charge for a even a week if my alarm system was attached. In cold weather (

Fit -- Terminals are a little too far in for my application so I had to bend my battery terminal plates a little to get it to work.

Price -- Pretty spendy for a motorcycle battery.

So I built my 2003 Harley Softail to 117 inch stroker. Big bad cam, high compression, high flow heads, etc etc etc. We forgot to put in any kind of compression release valves. This thing eats batteries in ~6 mo. Dekka, Big Bore, Harley, doesn't matter. To put in release valves ~$1000. Easy start S&S cams ~$1000. A better battery? Why not? I bought the biggest Shorai makes, the 36 AH. Oddly enough, it is an exact size replacement, no foam needed. Initial start (was shipped fully charged) not so good. Cranked it over, no go. Several more tries (6x @ 3 sec.)it was the same or better, did not get weaker. Turned off the key. Turned back on. Spun that big stroker like a rag doll, started right up. Very different from conventional lead acid, gets stronger on subsequent tries, not weaker. Working great, but any new battery does. We'll see if it stands the test of time. And BatteryStuff was great, awesome price (did I just say that about a $315 battery?) and fast selivery, no shipping charge.

the first battery i received was no good, they sent another and it performs very well, I had installed a new larger motor and if did not start right away the original battery had a very short cranking time. the new battery has cranked well beyond the stock battery and never came close to slowing down. Works very well.

Best battery I\'ve bought for my chopper. It blows the odessy battery I\'ve been using out of the water but I guess you get what you pay for.

don't know how long the new battery will last. but i will keep it in the ice box dureing the winter months as directed.

installed in H-D '09 tri glidethe battery i removeed was like 6x9x8 lead acid. and the lithium battery is shorter in width, so i used the provided rubber padded sheets to make a enclosed box for the new battery, which only weights 5 lbs.

the cranking power is better than the old battery.

If you've looked at BIG Bore or other high output batteries, these batteries will give you more output for the same money and fit into a lot more applications.

The battery is light weight and compact. It fit easily into my custom motorcycle. It has excellent cranking and fixed the issues that I've had trying to turn over the 127ci (2097cc) motor.

Expensive compared to a normal battery, but in line with high output batteries.
