Overview
The OptiMATE 4s 10A TM275 is a 12.8v 9.5 amp lithium smart charger. The TM275 is meant for Lithium LFP/LiFEPO4 batteries between 3 AH and 120 AH. This makes the TM275 a versatile lithium charger capable of charging both large and small lithium batteries found in motorcycles, ATVs, Side-by-Sides (UTVs), automobiles, RVs, and boats.
The TM275 is meant to charge 4-cell lithium batteries with a nominal voltage of 12.8v. Some battery manufacturers may list their batteries with a different voltage rating, such as 12v Lithium, 12.8v, or 13.2v lithium batteries. They may also only list the battery as a lithium or lithium-ion battery. Ultimately, the TM275 is safe for lithium batteries meant to start a 12v vehicle system, or charge deep cycle marine and RV lithium batteries.
The OptiMATE TM275 features an advanced 10-step charging profile capable of recovering deep-discharged batteries as low as 0.5 volts! A great part of this 10-step charging is that it automatically adjusts the charging current to suit the battery's size, so a big battery will get more current, and a smaller one will get less.
The TM275 can also detect the battery’s state of health and warn you when damage is detected, such as a bad cell. It features 24/7 maintenance charging, only delivering a charge when necessary. While on standby during the maintenance step, it only uses 0.5 watts, making it a low-energy-consuming charger.
The OptiMATE TM275 features a BMS Reset / Tune button that offers several features. For advanced lithium batteries, it can reset an advanced lithium’s BMS to allow charging. It can wake up a new battery delivered in sleep mode. Lastly, it can be used to activate the Tune mode, which supports a battery while the application is being tuned without the engine running. The Tune mode will effectively slow down the battery’s discharge rate, giving you more time to tune or troubleshoot the application.
