YB16AL-A2 Scorpion High Performance wet cell is not an ordinary replacement battery but a specially designed rugged and powerful glass mat battery. The Scorpion High Performance batteries typically offer true higher cranking amps and additional reserve capacity as compared to other replacement Yamaha motorcycle batteries. These batteries are shipped in specially designed packaging which includes the correct amount of electrolyte; end user must add electrolyte and activate battery. Offering vibration resistance and low internal discharge rate, you will achieve longer physical endurance and superior off-season storage potential. However, for long-term storage (30 days or more of non-use), we recommend a maintenance charger.

Scorpion battery
Durability yet to be determined.
Seems to be well built and will be used in a snowmobile.
Cons:
A little tricky in filling with the acid because of trapped air. A little shaking takes care of the trapped bubbles.

no good for vmax 1200
I had no idea that my scorp was an agm battery. I mean, you can add liquid to it, and it can leak. confusing.
it's a great battery, especially for the price.
Cons:
not good for the vmax. it's a vmax flaw that the battery designed for it is too small. I bought a bigger 18l size agm, hacksawed away a vertical slice of my battery box {the rear side is gone}; the new batt is twice as powerful, and it JUST squeezes in w/no room to spare. your welcome.

Seemingly good product so far for a great price. As with any battery, time will tell. I filled with acid, charged per directions and it cranked over a flooded motor for so long the starter should have cooked.
