Either way, when this happens, we often will look for our Harley Davidson battery tender to solve the problem. A battery tender might solve the problem if the battery is relatively new. However, it may be time to get a replacement Harley Davidson battery if it is older. So, in 2025, who will you turn to for the best Harley Davidson battery?

Harley Davidson Lithium Replacement Batteries
If you're looking for the best lithium battery for your Harley Davidson, then we have what your looking for! Lithium batteries are perfect for those needing more cranking amps. Our Scorpion Stinger and Shorai lithium lines offer high-cranking power and are BMS Protected!
The main advantage of switching to a lithium battery is its high-cranking and lightweight design. They weigh about one-third of the original battery. However, they produce much more cranking power. This is great for high-compression engines!
Lithium motorcycle batteries are a great alternative and can offer a slightly higher lifespan when cared for properly. Before making the switch, we suggest reading a couple of articles. They discuss the pros and cons of lithium technology and its starting limitations incold weather starting.
To find the best lithium Harley Davidson battery, we recommend using our Battery Finder. In some cases, Harley Davidson used the same form factor battery for different engine sizes. However, the importance of lithium battery capacity sometimes leads to an upgraded recommendation for certain models. For this reason, we recommend using our Battery Finder to find the proper lithium battery:

Alternatives to the Harley Style Battery
When purchasing a Harley Davidson replacement, pay extra attention that you've chosen the correct size and terminals. Some Harley models need a flush-style terminal because Harley uses a battery cable with an L-shape connector. Harley’s that have this connector generally have a battery cable that comes from below the battery. The L-shaped bracket sits on top of the terminal, requiring a flush mount connector.
Many big box distributors will sell you a battery that might ‘fit’ your Harley’s battery box. However, the box-style terminals they come with sit too far back, so the L-shape bracket doesn’t align. The battery may fit, but you cannot use it unless you can connect the cable to the battery.
These alternatives are often attractive as they can be less expensive than the Harley-style battery. Before purchasing, it is important to verify the connector coming off your Harley’s battery cable. Stick with the Harley versions above if the connector looks like an L-shaped bracket. If the connector is a ring connector, these alternatives can be budget-friendly!
