How Do I Choose a Golf Cart Charger?

If you don't have the manual, count how many batteries you have, then check to see if you have 6v, 8v, or 12v batteries. Knowing how many batteries you have and their voltage helps us find the total voltage of the battery pack. You will also need to look for an Amp/Hr. (AH) rating labeled on one of the batteries as this will help determine the capacity of the battery pack.
Lastly, you need to know the chemistry or type of batteries you are charging, such as flooded, AGM, GEL, or Lithium batteries. Understanding the golf cart's voltage, AH rating, and chemistry will make it easier to choose the correct charger.
